MARCUS ADAMS
Marcus A. Adams was born August 6, 1972 in the small town of Greenwood, MS. Early in his childhood, his mother knew he would have success as a musician when at the age of 8, he wrote his very first song. Coming from a religious home, Marcus’ early musical influences were Al Green, James Cleveland, The Caravans and The Winans. It wasn’t until he heard the sounds of saxophonist David Sanborn that he knew he had found his true calling. Consequently, Marcus’ father went to a pawn shop and purchased an alto sax. By the 8th grade, Marcus was already being courted by colleges for his musical ingenuity.
In the summer of 1986, The Adams moved from rural Greenwood, MS to Milwaukee, WI where Marcus enrolled in Vincent High School. He went on to excel in music at the High School where he received outstanding musician awards upon graduation. After graduation, Marcus would pursue his dream of making it in the big times.
